I have now finished all tasks for Pauline except one distinction task which is underway. I have nearly finished all work for Kath and for Mike. We squeezed a lesson in our break for kath so we can have friday off. This was a tactical decision as Friday last lesson is incredibly hard to do work in.

Back from half term

I have been tying up my work in all subjects and are close to doing all pass tasks except from sue's module. Kath has returned to college and we have spent the first lesson catching up on work to see what we have not done and what we have.
I am struggling with the programming unit but so is everyone else. I am looking to get a distinction in all subjects but the distinction task for the programming module is to create a game in a programming application and I find this really hard.

Last day before half term

We have reached our last half term for this year and it is a race to get as much work done as we can. I am really behind on my work for Sue as we only have that lecturer once a week. Kath is yet to return to college due to being ill but we are managing to get work done slowly.

Health Fare

Today we had a health fare that gave us advice on all different genres on health. As well as health advice there was job opportunities and events.

The events involved talks in our lecture theater about various jobs, health and the college in general. I felt this was very useful as it gave me possible opportunities for what I can do after I finish at Penwith College. There was also different stalls around the college that gave us information about health and health advice should we need it.

Week 3 to 4 -

This week we are progressing in programming. We have been shown the first assignment which involves explaining the different types of programming languages from procedural to event driven. I am also very close to finishing Sue Comers information systems assignment with only 2 tasks left to go.

Week 2 - Report Sheet

This week we got given a report sheet for our lecturers to give feedback on our work rate and quality. In order to get the feedback our lecturers we have to take the sheet around with us. So far I have got 3 pieces of feedback.

I have progressed well in my weakest subject databases. I am about to complete the last merit tasks to complete the whole assignment.

I have completed my physical security assignment to a distinction level and uploaded it to moodle. After the half term I will see if I achieve the mark.

Week 1 - 'What kind of learner am I?'

This week we found out what learner we are. I am a kinesthetic learner which means I learn best when I am doing practical tasks. This is important for me to know as I can focus on practical tasks more, I can design the best way for me to learn. This is important for me, my lecturers and any future career aspirations I have.
